13729, boost gauge install, which line to tap?

is it better to tap the fpr line or the bov line to the manifold for the boost gauge (autometer). a friend of mine had a new manifold put on his car a while back so he just used one of the extra ports it had, but he said that if i attached it to the fpr line it would react slower than normal. is it much of a difference? and i have a question about the directions that came w/ the guage. one is for 'turbo' cars and i ignored everything else. this section didn't talk about a T that goes into the line, but i know (i think i know) how it is supposed to be installed. but one of the other diagram's did have a T in it, so maybe they just got mixed up. either way, it's just attach the tube to the back of the gauge, run it to a line coming off the manifold, and thats it, rite? i don't need all those crazy adaptors and gormets and the like, do i?

it didn't come w/ a t fitting thou, guess i'm going out to lowe's...sorry this was long, i go off on tangents sometimes.
BOOST ON!woohoooo.......................

I have the Hahn StageI Turbo Kit and I tapped the boost gauge into the farthest line on the left of the intake manifold(looking at engine). This is also the same line my BOV is T'd into(I believe). Works fine for me. PEace...JIM

mines tapped to that big plastic thingy in the front of the engine. It goes back to the intake manifold. I think it has something to do with the EGR.
