13473, how much to compensate for egt temps
Posted by aj, Jan-14-02 04:13 PM
The shop I went to was to scared to drill the manifold and wanted to charge an arm and a leg cause he said he had to remov the turbo to drill the exh mani.Anyway I ended up mounting the probe on the downpipe. How accurate do you think the reading will be?How many degrees do you think should I compensate for it compared to one that's mounted in the manifold?TIA

if you drill the manifold while the car is idling, all the shavings get blown out, no need to remove anything.

the difference in temps is roughly ~200*F
