So, by the lack of response I think I can draw the conclusion that no one knows. So, this topic like others now becomes theory until some one can prove it. I personally would love it to be proven so I could get one.

It seems you and I are the two people on this board who are the most fed up w/ the hrc fuel system. I always see you posting questions and replying to posts that are all hrc fuel improvement related. I think I am going to try and be one of the for runners in the crusade to better the hrc fuel system nightmare.
Will you join me?
My new goal is to come up w/ a fuel system setup that is cheap and high quality. Doing both might be the hard part. So, I think I will go for quality first.

Perhaps the reason many people haven't jumped in this discussion is b/c it's been revisited so many times. But I will digress since 'm bored.
There isn't much to a turbo fuel system. There's the fuel feed line, fuel return line, the fuel pump(s) that pushes the fuel, and lastly, the fuel pressure regulator that determines the amount of pressure in your fuel rail according to your manifold pressure, be that vacuum or boost.
I think most would agree that the "ideal" system would be one that would include 4 injectors pushing out enough fuel at relatively low pressures at close to a 1:1 boost ratio, with a high performance fuel pump capable of keeping up. The trick to all of it with us, is not having a ecu capable of reading boost to send "correct messages" to the fuel injectors AND not having an ecu able to readily handle injectors bigger than 440cc's without encoutering off-boost driveability issues.
The HRC fuel system is a good system insofar as its efficiency to deliver a lot of fuel at a relatively low cost. I also think it's pretty accepted here that the HRC FPR isn't the "best" choice in terms of quality. That's why most people here advocate the use of the Vortech unit if you MUST use smallish (235-440) injectors.
As far as issues with the fuel pump. It's also widely accepted on the board that running really, really high fuel pressures (those approaching 120psi) require a really strong tandem of fuel pumps since any one fuel pump will NOT suffice. We've also all had a fair amount of discussion about the ability of any single pump being able to keep up with pressures approaching 120psi. The consensus here is it just can't be done. That's why the HRC second inline pump is the only way to go. I doubt even the mighty supra pump probably could even keep up. It's design was NOT mean for pressures approaching 120psi. We just don't know how that pump under extreme high pressures would react. (I've listed the fuel pumps at issue here below).
Also take a look at the fuel pump flow rate charts below. (Corbin has shown this here a number of times as well) If you look at the highest rated 255lph High Pressure model, you'll be able to see that at the 120 psi pressure level, it just doesn't push any fuel:

That's why it's necessary to run an inline pump UNTIL you've added larger injectors. Remember, larger injectors will allow you to run your fuel pressures significantly lower thereby allowing your fuel pump to be able to push enough fuel at more reasonable fuel pressures. Something more resonable, in terms of fuel pressure, at 70-85 psi would make your fuel pump much more happy.
Supra Pump flow rate- 260LPH @ 43psi 3000gt VR-4 flow rate- 180lph at 43psi

Larger injectors are part of the plan. So is an s-fmu and s-afc.
All I wanted to know is what pump off the supra can supposable be used. -simple question- Basically I wanted to know who if anyone is using one and how it was working for them(.)
I feel that one of the most (if not the most) important aspects of forced induction is fuel. As many people know if you and more air you have to add more fuel. I have been looking at what everyone else is doing and seeing if their set up is working out. I personally want to get my fuel system all worked out so I don’t have to worry about the reliability of it.
This is what I’m thinking
For 15-20psi boost
Large injectors 440cc or bigger s-afc s-fmu And a good pump(s) (I just need someone to help in pointing me in the right direction as far as what are some good pumps that are proven)
What else do you think I need as far as fuel for that amount of boost?

sorry, I thought you knew what year the 4'th gens were. my bad. get a fuel pump froma 93.5 to 98 toyota supra twin turbo. it is pretty dang expensive brand new, and will take some "custom" work to fit.

To run 15-20psi you'll need more than 440's or you'll have to be pushing a rather high FPR ratio to make up for it i.e. higher fuel pressures.
Use corbin's formula, you'll see that to keep somewhat sane fuel pressures, and run about 10-15psi, you need to have at least a 3:1 ratio on 440's if i remember correctly....

justone, i have already obtaines a s-fmu and i have mounted my hrc fuel pump very far back, it is tolerable now, but if the mythical supra pump will work then i am all for it, i see them on ebay alot for like 160-180, but am tending towards not spending money on it if it don't work. I can However when i am free, take out my current fuel pump and go to a toyota dealer and see if they match up. i have 315cc injectors on the way...ford ones so i will let everyone know about that, i would like to show you what i did with my current hrc fuel pump but i lack the digital camera to take pictures. I mounted it farther back almost as far as the rear tire. I do have a hypothesis that i will test this weekend. I have gotten under the car when it is idling to examine the fuel system. it appears that the vibration from the fuel pump is minimal and the noise that we hear is from the actual fuel pumping through the hardline, you know how the pump pulses the fuel. i think the sound is the hardline vibrating against the bottom of the car. I am going to either put a steel braided line or isolate the hardline with rubber grommets and see what happens. if this makes it better i will inform everyone. the thing i dunno about is I have a -4 an line from an old nitrous system...will this diameter be large enough to supply the fuel necessary? if so i'm goood, if not i'll try other methods. lates james

That would be great, jamesman. I've noticed that if my pump shifts so the thick rubber hoses on each side of the fuel pump are touching the car body anywhere, the noise doubles. So, I definitely agree that the sound is most likely coming from a fuel line contact somewhere (esp. since my FP itself is wrapped in 1" foam with a rubber pad mounting to the chassis).
So yah, add me to the list of ppl that are really fed up with the HRC fuel system, simple as it is, it sux at stage 2. I'd really like to hear a solution that requires few extra parts... if I have to buy a new FPR or bigger injectors thats one thing, but I'm not really too excited if the solution requires a new pump, injectors, safc, sfmu, fpr, and fcd.
I want to rebuild my bottom end, not re-buy my whole fuel system. If I wanted to re-buy everything, I'd have gotten a GS-T ;).
