13338, MBC?

I have a HRC Stage 2 kit that I picked up used awhile back, and I am beginning to think that the turbo that came with it only has a 5 lb. spring on it. At first I just thought it was a leaky BOV, but it wasn't (even tho the BOV did leak like a mutha). So what I am wondering is if I pick up a MBC, will I be able to turn up the boost anywhere past 5 psi, but not any lower than that?? Basically if someone can explain to me how a MBC works on a turbo with an internal wastegate, that would be extremely helpful. It's really starting to get on my nerves having a stage 2 kit, and still having close races with a prelude v-tech.

Anyone know off hand how much the proper spring costs from HRC... I would call em, cept its long dist, and why pay for info that I can get for free :-)

it isn't a spring... it is the entire wastegate actuator. You need the stage 2 actuator... the MBC will work fine with the 5psi actuator. you can go higher, but not lower.

Another thing to consider: I have the HRC Stage 2 kit and I'm only boosting 5 psi. What I was told though is that the kit is set at 7 psi for sea level and since I live about 7,000 ft above sea level the pressure difference makes it so I ca only boost 5 psi. A boost controller will take care of thast of course. :)
