Hey guys has anyone found a fuel rail for the car? I was just wondering cause most guys find it easier to use the 95 fuel rail(making it easier to run a return fuel line). Some of the guys in Houston 2gnt have ran the regulator in the back. I realize people do all kind of set ups on there own. I have had problems with fuel for awhile now but things are looking better. I realized I need a new fuel rail. The reason for this is tuning. I had a guage mounted to the fuel nipple. I had a minor leak in the fuel system somewhere and the smell of unburt fuel was under the hood real bad, upon inspection I found that the leake was from the guage. I started to tighen it and pop!!! Well the little pice of shit came off in my hand. The nipple broke right off of the fuel rail. Well that was only the begining. I tried to get welded back on. The fuel rail is made out of thin pot metal(translation shitty to weld). Well this first time it was welded looked good and after complete assembly it had a pin hole leak. I took it back welded it again and this time it held up. Now the next thing that happened is the fuel guage shit the bed. It is a pressure guage from b&m. The guage worked for awhile but I guess due to vibration it got fuct. The replacement is a liquid filled guage from russle. Well this leaves me with another dilema. I need a rail with several things, 1 nipple for a local guage, 2 a nipple for the electric guage inside the car, 3 a port for the inlet from the fuel pump, 4 a port for the magna flow boost sensative regulator. So basically from the tank though the fuel rail( to the injectors,and guages) to the regulator ( holds the pressure in the rail) and then returns back to the tank via #6 stainless steel braided line. I think this problem is about solved. There are just to many restictions with the stock fuel rail. Joe is already down to do this fuel set up on his car I was just wondering if anyone would be intersted in this. I dropped all my shit off to the machine shop and work will begin on monday. I did alot of lathe work in cali so I will be onhand to make sure its measured right. But trust me guys that nipple on the rail isnt as tough as it looks. later Mike

Not sure it will fit, but check modernperformance.com. They make a neon rail with adjustable fittings that might work. Again, not sure. You might want to check with them.

I'll be getting my bell fpr in a few days. If it looks like it'll work with that set up put me down for getting one of those rails. Might as well instead of going out looking for a 95 later on.

just something i noticed between the 95 and later fuel rails. the 95 has a tube welded in within the actual fuel rail tube for the regulator to fit into and return fuel back to the tank. this is directly in the middle of the fuel rail taking up precious fuel volume. I got a later fuel rail without the return line fitting (97-99) and this is just a hollow tube, no restrictions. I read about the venom rail, but the internal diameter of that fuel rail does not even come close to the stock 97-99 fuel rail i believe the internal diameter of the stock one is about 3/4 inch, where others are like 9/16ths or so. so from a performance standpoint with respect to fuel delivery, it appears that the best fuel rail out there is probably the 97-99 rail if you are not too concerned about the fittings. you can still put the gauge at the FPR.

hey thura thats what i like to hear. joes in as well, maybe I ought to sell the mj performance fuel rail? Well as far as the 97 fuel rail? the nipple on it is still weak( will break) and again as stated earlier the stock rail is made out of shitty thin pot metal. I need 2 seperate nipples one for a local guage and one for the electric guage inside the car. The main reason I'm have it made is because I need it now. Its resonably cheap for me since this in also the machine shop that has our so called shop block (thuras) well maybe i need to do pics or something.

Why don't you use another gate block (like you did for your oil) to supply the needed ports for your fuel setup?

I understand the trick part of it, but eh.. HRC has run 9's on stock 420A fuel rails (in Len Ayala's Neon, and 11.5's on a stock Eclipse rail). That's good enough for me.

But then, i'm all about finding the cheapest, easiest way to do things.

Yeah, but you already have the 95 fuel rail. joe and I are stuck with the ones with out a return port so might as well get this mike is making. I'm pretty sure the cost will be the same (or at least pretty close) as just picking up a 95 rail at the junkyard.

dino when you go adding all the stuff to the rail you need to use like 2 or three fittings to make it work.for just the guage alone I had to use 3 peices. This is what I'm trying to get rid of. Like the guage tapped right into the fuel rail. I'm just tired of the guessing I'm doing with all of this stuff I'm going to cut out the bs and get the bomb shit(plus I just got a 2000 dollar bonus so why not (understand?). late mike

I hear that .. i had to use 3 different pieces to get my sending unit on my fuel rail. Makes sense.. by one for me, i'm fuckin BROKE

alright no problem my design I think I'm gonna put mj racing on the side. See houston 2gnt ? about the shifter? well I made it to dallas. Man I sure have missed driving a normal car. My ass and my back didnt know what to do. late mike
