I bought the energy suspension motor mount inserts for the front and rear 2gnt mounts from summit racing (part# ENS-5-1103R, a little over $27 shipped to my door).

Installation requires you to remove the front and rear motor mount. For the front, its a snap, for the rear, you have to remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir to reach it.

I got to say that these inserts fit the motor mounts like a GLOVE! My only dissapointment (maybe it was pertinent to my front motor mount version) is that the metal shims that come with the kit to keep the front inserts in place had the screw holes too small to work, so i enlarged the hole with a dremel.

I have heard that a lot of people say there is a lot of vibration transmitted to the steering wheel/etc, but i didnt notice that *much* vibration. But yes, there is some vibration.

I made some local street passes at 9psi and wow, power transition is much more precise.

Overall...a great thumbs up for it!!!!

There have been a lot of people installing the motor mounts lately and all of them say that vibration inside the car has increased. How much are we talking about here? I've heard as much as 'it is unbearable until you get used to it' and as little as 'if you pay attention you can tell the difference' A poll would be nice:

1) These things don't shake that much. You can barely notice the difference.

2) It shakes a pretty decent amount - Benefits outweigh problems - BUY THEM!!!

3) It shakes a pretty decent amount - I'm leaving them in, but I wouldn't install them again.

4) These things make the car shake like Dino after 15psi... DO NOT BUY THEM!!!

Rough, man. Rough. My car shakes like a 5.0 with solid mounds and a bigass cam at idle, but then i didn't balance my rotating assembly during my rebuild either.

On a side note, i held it out for as long as i could stand and it pegged at 21PSI. If that doesn't make you shake, yer a better man than i ;-)

kiku- you said you made some passes at 9psi... maybe this is a dumb question, but:

How do you turn DOWN the boost on an HRC kit? I have a MBC, and with it all the way closed, it's the stock 9 psi. If I open it up, I get 10 and higher. With the MBC removed, just a straight hose, I still get 9psi. Is there something you can adjust on the stock BOV or smth?

That's set by the internal wastegate on your 16g. No way to turn it lower than 9psi if that is your wastegate rating unless you put a new, lower rated spring in.

Dino, i know the shake.
when i put the AVCR in for the first time and was messing with the duty cycle it accidentally got to 14 psi when i was used to feeling the 4 1/2 psi that the wastegate actuator was at. man i almost couldn't stand when i got out of the car. but ohh it was tasty!
