12356, Afc settings for 440's
Posted by speedracer21, Dec-18-01 08:39 AM
I know there were some post on this before, (but i can't find them)
But I'v got my 440's (42lb), my fmu recalibration kit is on the way, and so is the afc. So i need any helpful info on setting it all up to run good.
I just want to get it running right with the 440's under daily driving. Cause my motor is about dead, and if i try to fully tune it under boost i'm sure she'll pop. So i can drive it to and from work ect. NO racing. just driving maybe 1-2 psi of boost at max. That wan in a month or so when i get it built and put it back in i know the fuel will be already taken care of, and then i'm going to dyno tune it after that.
So should i just copy someone else settings, from here that already has it up and running? Or should i just do the low tunning of it.
Also i'll be running a 4:1 fmu.

Check out the mods page for Guy's helpful guide to tuning your AFC. Works like a charm.

I always see ppl talking about like .92v ect as a/f readings, but where are they getting the exact numbers? I know you can figure out what led is about what voltage, but is that the best way? Also i've heard you can use a digital volt meter to get the readings, exactily how do you go about using the volt meter? Do you tap it in the wire off the a/f gauge or the ecu???
