I have the the probe installed in the Star exhaust manifold just to the left of the "S" where the word STAR is stamped. My egt needle bounces around when I am off the throttle or driving in 20-10 VAC. When I get on the throttle, and start to boost or at least get it closer to 0-psi and out of VAC, the egt temp increases as normal. Mostly the 600-1000 range jumps everywhere until I get on the throttle. It seems a bit better on smooth roads, but not rock steady.

BTW: when I boost and the temps rise it locks in rock steady with a steady increase in temp. I almost think that the airflow under VAC is not sufficent to get a good reading.

cool do you pix of your install dude? I'm planning on getting one to see what's up with my engine. How much did the gauge and probe cost? Did it come with all the goodies you need to install?

I got my egt with probe on sale at turbotrix for $118? i think, it was over a month ago. Call jeff at turbotrix he might still have it on sale. It came with everything you need to install.
