wazzuup guyz I just need some advice about the type of turbo charger to get I already messed up my T25 and my starion turbo is messed up too. I was wondering if a TDO5-14B at 7 lbs would be the same as a 16g from RRE at 7lbs if they are, then I'm gonna buy the 14B but if the 16g is stronger at 7lbs than I'll buy that one. what kind of boost can the 14B handle cause they seem real cheap. And I know they are way biger than the T25. does the 16g spool up faster than the 14b since I herd there was big time lag on the 14B. what kind of horsepower max can you get from both these turbos. Since I'm not fully built and I will not boost past 7 to 8 poundz anymore would you guyz spend the money on a 16g for 590$ or would rather get a 14B for 200$.I guess what I'm really trying to say is will I get the same 1/4 mile time with a 14B at 8pounds as the 16g at 8 pounds. because my credit card limit is a 1000 and I need a turbo.I herd some of the 4g63 guys running low 13z on the stock 14B turbo is this true. there is a 14B on ebay right now for about $125.Will I be at the same HP with both of these turbos at 8lbs and 1/4 mile times thanks guys ()

Go 14b. It's cheap and it was used in the 1st gens. If you got the cash go get the 16b but I think that the 14b will do what you want it to. I'm no expert and still learning alot. Somebody will give you probably a better answer. How those pistons holding up?

7psi is well in both turbo's efficently range, however the 16G might flow a little more air at the given variable of 7psi...however at higher boost levels the 16G will outflow the 14B, but I dont' think it would be enough at 7psi to generate any huge gains. Top end would hold longer on a 16G then on the 14B

With race gas about 21-22psi, 17-18psi on pump.

No 16G spools slower then the 14B, not by much few hurdered RPM's or so.

16G on a 2G will make low/mid 300's on race gas at around 22-23psi
14B on 2G will make high 200's on race gas and 21psi

I'm confused...are you a 4G, or a 420A...if you are a 4G and only run 8psi why run boost at all?

The 16G will flow more air up top in the RPM band at Higher RPMS. I don't think there would be a noticable difference, but I would pick the 16G given equal drivers.

Guys in 1G AWD's have ran 12's on the stock 14B, 2G awd's usually see mid/low 13's.

yeah my car is a 420A I have a custom kit using a T25. So to hit low 14z on a 420A what do you have to boost 10poundz or higher. So the 14B would be perfect to use, 10 poundz and below the 16g and the 14b are the same? Eric the pistons are working great thanks man. So !/4 miles times should be the same if I boost 7 lbs on a 14b and a 16G
