I am fixing to buy a stage 2 hrc turbo kit with uprgraded intercooler and my question is should i spring for the forged pistons as well. i have the money for both so what should i do. also how are our connecting rods. do they need upgrading.

do you also have the money to get your block bored over .020"? you will need to do that if you get the stage 3 from HRC. Unless you just end up buying forged pistons with the stock bore.

I would highly suggest to also buy forged rods (crower, eagle, pauter, etc) w hile you are at it.

If you decide to rebuild your engine and boring it over is not a big deal, just buy the stage 3 from HRC...comes with rods and pistons and everything.

How much is the HRC stage 3? What is the difference betweeen Stage II and III?
