so yeah, i helped out a lil w/ my friend's integra turbo install. he did most of it just b/c it was his car, and i ended up holding the flash light..lol. either way, we got it on in 2 days or so. listen to this thou: everything was on and the only MAJOR problem we encountered was the oil return line hitting the down pipe b/c the guy who drilled and welded the oilpan did it in the wrong place. but yeh, they hit and the return line was pinched a lil more than we thought it was. we filled the engine back up w/ oil and turned it on etc, and oil was leeking out the top of the turbo b/c the line was closed coming out of the bottom! ouch. the turbo smoked a lil and we turned it off. then we ordered a stainless steel line etc over nite and fixed the lil problem...its all better, boosting 4-5 psi til its broken in...rite now the greddy type s bov doesn't seem to be set rite thou b/c it's leakinga lot.
either way, there were one too many "is this the right screw" and "OH SH*T...F*CK ME RUNNING YOU F*CKING PIECE OF S*IT" 's for me to really want to install my own turbo. (another reason i ordered a custom setup instead of getting an hrc stage 2). either way we think the turbo is ok and it was fun to work on. i'm just glad it wasn't my car.

my friend that helped me install the HRC kit has also helped with a Drag kit on a GSR.
He said the two kits didnt even compare as far as ease of install, the HRC kit was much easier and everything was much clearer.
He also said the fittings, especially the oil pan tap, from the HRC kit were 10x better than the stuff in the drag kits.

I have seen a couple turboed GSR's and the turbo almost looks like it wont fit where it is at. It is cramed in the front in the little space between the radiator and the engine. On our cars it is A LOT easier to install. And those GSR's cant run as high boost as us on stock internals either. The guy I talked to here is only running 7 psi on a built bottom end. We can run 7 psi on stock bottom end. If you think a GSR is fast at 5 psi wait till you ride in an eclipse at 7 psi. Also ......I read an article in SCC about turboing a civic si and turboing a GSR and the numbers they got were very unimpressive. If I remember correctly the civic only hit low 15's and the GSR only hit a 15 flat. Both on 6psi. It was a turbo kit made by HKS that isnt sold to the public yet though.

Hehe I'll say a 2GNT kit is much easier to install from what I've heard. We don't have to weld anything. The star has a convienient little flange for the oil return and such. 2GNT turbo all the way! Hehe :P
