Hello all! I came across this turbo a couple years back in trade for work. Didn't think much of it till I decided to either sell or use it. All I know about it is that it is a Precision Turbo, inside the compressor housing is etched with 50T. I haven't measured it yet to see if it is a 50T or not. I am just trying to figure out if it is a good turbo for the 420a, what it may be worth after some cleaning up, and maybe some detailed numbers on it if i can find them or be pointed in the right direction. As far as I can tell it has never been run. Any help would really make my day! Thanks all!

I had a precision turbo last year, here is a link where they show you how to measure the dimension to determine what size it is. They are pretty helpful over the phone too.

Thanks for the help. But the info I'm looking for is how much boost, will there be too much lag, whats the airflow? Pretty much the info on the internals. unless I'm a total idiot and missed something in that link. LOL

if you have a typical T3/TO4E 57 trim with a stage 3 exhaust wheel and a .48 A/R housing, it might have a powerband of 3000-7000, with the .63 it might be 4000-8000

No one here can specifically tell you exactly how the turbo will respond. I can all tell you it will work, but there are a handful of other variables that will determine the exact end result. From the information gathered here, the turbo is in a useful range for your project.

Those links I posted will better help you pick the next turbo for your future projects, and will serve as a reference chart when you finish the calculations that identify your compressor housing.

Thank you so much! Like I said before, I was looking for either direct info or someone to point me in the right direction. You did the later which to me is more useful. That way I can read up on turbos and learn alot more then someone just saying "it'll work". Thank you very much for your time!

Finally found it!!!!!!! It's a PTE SCM50. I am now kinda thinking about keeping it for when I rebuild and go for boost.
