I am going to have a custom test pipe made..and i was wondering what size our downpipe is on the star kits so they can custom make it? Also my shifter is still messed up and my car is down because of it.

Its 2.5" No need to go any higher unless your gonna push in the 400+hp range. A 3" downpipe used to be a no cost option, dont know if it still is.

Umm I bought a 3 inch flex section for my downpipe a while back but haven't installed it. Would I be able to install that on my downpipe? They could make reducers and stuff right?

Do you think 3 inch is too big for 5 psi of boost? I got all the 3 inch goodies already, but I gotta have em installed.

No, I don't think it would be too big but I wouldnt go any bigger on just low boost. Engines require some backpressure, isnt that right? How about if its turbocharged, still need to have some backpressure or just a restrictor? sorry, i am not to inclinded in this type of stuff.

No and no. Engines dont need backpressure, they need velocity which too big a pipe cant provide.

No turbo's dont need backpressure thats one of their main flaws, the turbine creates lots of backpressure, hence no such thing as too big an exhaust for t turbo engine (so they say). 2.5" will SUPPORT alot of HP. A 3" downpipe probably wont hurt anything under boost but probably isn't neccessary either fro anything most of us are doing. Stage 4 and 5 might be another story.

I wonder why I though a NA engine needs some backpresure... hehe. btw, I finally got my oil pressure gauge installed today, yippie. my fuel fitting is backordered, when i get that I'll have my fuel press gauge going too egt gauge came back in the mail today from service, for any of you who didnt read the post on it, I was having probs with my EGT gauge fogging up, if you have these problems too, with any kind of gauge, you can have antifog glass installed... mine was free of charge, so i would suppose anyone could have it done free.
