This seems a bit weird to ask, but I was wondering which end is in and which is out? Also which of the two prongs on the pump is the positive and which is the negative?

Neither are labeled on the fuel pump itself and my HRC instructions are for an in tank fuel pump so no help. Both of the prongs look the same as well.

I'm pretty sure I can see a minus sign on the plastic near the left terminal on the pump. Kind of hard to tell with the out of focus picture though.

Also, I suppose the other end not shown in my picture is the "in" side, because it says it requires a new fuel filter at that end.

Theres a piece that goes on the end of the pump.

But still, a stock sized fuel filter should work?

I didn't use one. There is a sock on the end of the stock pump that prevents it from picking up large debris.

if you absolutely have to have a filter, screw a brass barb into the pump, and use an inline filter from AutoZone or something. Use fuel injection hose and clamps.

So it would be fine just to run it without any fuel filter?

I just cant seem to get the fitting off between the metal fuel line and the stock fuel filter on the fuel sending line.
I would like to just take out the fuel filter and stock fpr and put the fuel pump where the fuel filter sat.

Can I just cut the metal fuel line with a hacksaw?
