I have white smoke coming from my exhaust and wastegate, the wastegate has oil coming out of it for sure. now i know this is going to sound stupid, but I didn't connect any vaccum lines yet and it got to dark so i called it a day, but started it up just to see. and thats when the smoke cloud hit me. Now im hoping it's just the lines but I want to know before i go back over there tomorrow so im prepared. Would the vacuums do something like this?

Probably not, no. Have you attempted to drive the car at all? Have you checked the turbocharger for oil leakage or a blocked oil return line? Is the turbo new, used? Is the turbo water cooled, and if so, are the lines connected?

I would definitely pull the return line from the pan and start it to see if it's draining. I'm going to guess used turbo?

No, vacuum lines would not cause this type of problem. White smoke is typically related to burning coolant; And oil definitely should not be coming out of your wastegate. It sounds like this turbo kit was just installed? As previously asked, how old is the turbo and how is it cooled? It sounds like you could have some bad seals in the turbo. Make sure that your drain line is not blocked and that your oil pressure feeding the turbo isn't too high.

Check out the set-up when you have time and then get back to us. In answer to your original question, no, unplugged vac lines would not do this. Also, keep in mind, on install, some smoke is normal. It should burn off relatively quickly.
