No not me... however I've been reading on here waiting for someone to do it with pics just to see something different and see some number of what is possible with a supercharged 420a.

So far, no luck. It seems everyone is saying it would be too much work to make it happen, might as well go turbo. I read it would be a pain to make the manifold backwards or to run plumbing.

So here's what I came across today. My friend is all about ford probes, and he found his way to one (93-97) 4 cylinder supercharged. Fortunately for us, the probe has the same engine set up as our cars. Instead of having it mounted up on the intake or around the intake, they did away with the ac compressor, mounted the supercharger in it's place, and ran the plumbing the same way you would with turbo.

Here's a link to his pics.

i've seen this done two different ways. vortech style and eaton.

the other configuration (thomas knight kit) is to have the supercharger pulley up towards where the cruise control box sits and attaches to a belt from there.

Mikey, in the pic you show the charge pipe looks pathetically small.

Wow, that thing looks about half the size of the motor. Think I'll just stick to the turbo. It does look hella mean though.

It is an interesting idea, replacing the A/C compressor with a supercharger. It will take someone with significant money, time, and skill to make that work on our car. Unfortunately, someone with those three items are likely to choose a project with better returns.

I'm thinking this part ^^^ is not so much, but the other parts more so. It'll cost a little but I think its the ideal spot to work with (ease of fabrication etc.). Really want to do this one day for the challenge.

But time.........
