107446, Boost leak test results

I decided to boost leak test my car yesterday.... couldnt get the car to hold over 10 psi. I found and fixed most of the leaks. One of my leaks is the throttle shaft seal on my modern performance throttle body. Has anyone else had this issue?

Mine broke exactly in the groove the rubber seal is... I had it pinned and welded all around to eliminate the groove. dunno if it seals any better.. You could try putting a dab of grease on that to check if it holds pressure any better...

I had a similar boost leak with the AFX 55mm throttle body. There was a slight leak around the shaft that the butterfly valve is mounted on, but it was never a major leak as the intake system would pressurize during a test to 25PSI with no problem.
I don't have any experience with the MP throttle body, but from what I remember it's pretty much a slightly modified Jeep throttle body...?

its a full cnc'ed aluminum t body.

Actualll the MP throttle is quite nice.... The shaft is weak if you ask me but all around a good piece....
BTW: Only probs I had with my car was that, and when I put it back together I forgot to use thread locker on the bolts that hold the butterfly plate.... :(
Few months later those bolts came loose ....! Dunno how but none of the two got in the engine they stayed in the intake ports....it was my bad for not using thread locker....

Every TB leaks slightly at the shaft. When I did a boost leak test my MP 60mm also leaked at the TB slightly. Car can still runs at 15-20psi with no trouble.
In other words, dont worry about it unless it is severe. If it is, you can always take it apart and change the two o-rings on the shaft.
