well after years of use my Hahn FCD went out

I got a new FCD from symtech it fixed my bog down problem! :thumbsup

But now I have a cel code 14 MAP :wallbash

Is this normal for their FCD??

the SYMTECH FCD apparently are not play n play and have to be fine tuned.

My FCD's have to be fine tuned, but I thought theirs were just a direct wire in and go, but I never researched theirs, but I know they are different then mine.

what s ur end voltage reading?

I have mine set at the highest I can get it 4.54 its recommend 4.70


maybe I should have just went with a missing link!?

Unfortunately, every car reacts to the addition of an FCD differently. All SymTech FCD's are pre-tuned, but in some cases fine-tuning may be necessary to suppress a check engine light (CEL)/malfunction indicator light (MIL).

Could it be this particular unit that was sent?

I was running Hahn's for years with no CEL

I'm reading 4.54 any lower and it runs badly!?

I can only go one way (turn it down!)

If anyone here has had similar problems or can offer some suggestions

UPDATE---Symtech suggested to double check 12V source.
this was coming lose and was corrected.
I now can adjust voltage.
I tried 4.58V,4.59V,4.60V,4.66V,4.69V to no avail
NO fuel cut but once I shut her down and restart a glorious Illuminated CEL Code 14 appears! ;(

All the treads I have read with reply's from Symtech lead me to the purchase of their $50.00 FCD :whoa

If your +12V connection was faulty, it's very likely your other connections are too. Even connections that are overtly fine may introduce enough resistance into the circuit to throw off your PCM.

On the other hand, if you are one of the unfortunate few with a finicky PCM, no FCD, no matter the brand, can work for you without generating a CEL.

I believe it to be the latter.

The 12v was the only wire that was not soldered and shrink wrapped.
I guess I could just ignore the CEL since I was NOT getting fuel cut
this could have been a 100 towards symtech MS

I am gonna be sending this thing back to SYMTECH for testing!!
