I found an t3/t4 50. trim turbo for 125 they guy said it has very very little shaft play. Price is to good to be true, I think theres other problems
Question, How could repair this if it had more. This would be my first turbo, price is in my range haha

Rebuild kits are not expensive, even a complete one it's like $90. And you could rebuild it yourself, balancing is good. But if it's for a stage 1 or 2 setup I dont think it may be absolutely necesary. imo..
I am rebuilding mine in a few weeks, used it without the oil restrictor and damaged the oil seal, it wasent smoking or anything but the inside of the compresor and the wheel are all cover in oil, I guess it did not reach the engine cuz the oil stayed in the intecooler. So I gues i'll have to flush that out with degreaser or sumthing.

For something that turns 100,000RPM, balancing is entirely necessary.

The rebuild kits are only really useful for freshening up an otherwise good turbo. If there is shaft play, you really should get it rebuilt and balanced professionally. Otherwise, you will pay for the rebuild kit and then a professional rebuild/balance. I speak from experience. Mine needed some additinal machining that a DIY rebuild wouldn't solve.
