keeps intake clean but gives a CEL, if you can stand that then do it, it will cool intake charge a bit but it is not noticable, you will not see an increase in power, just intake track will stay clean, if you remove it also put a breather in the PVC tube

I have the block off plates to do mine. When the ported/polished intake manifold foes on the EGR comes off.

The EGR block is not a way to increase power but a way to maintain power. You keep the airflow smoother by not building up dirt and gunk in the manifold. I think this is needed if you go through the trouble of porting/polishing your intake manifold.

Yes, you will trip the CEL... but I've had mine on since I installed the S-AFC so no big difference for me. But the ASOG guys did figure out a way to put a resiter in line to keep the right signal voltage to the ECU... could work for us.
