Going turbo soon and I'm talking to a member on here about buying his treadstone dp and manifold setup. If he ends up selling it to someone else, I will have to make my own. Even if I DO get my hands on his I still want to see what other people are running.
So post up pics of your downpipes, on or off the car, and give some details. Where'd you buy it, or what material is it made out of (if you did it yourself). Does it hit the AC compressor? Does it replace the cat or bolt up to it? Any type of helpful info that you can give would be appreciated. But a picture is worth a thousand words.

3 inch piping, 14gauge mild steel. However, I will switching this downpipe within the next couple of weeks. I will be fabrication a new downpipe from stainless steel, relocating the dump tube into the pipe to another location, and welding on a 3" vband onto the turbine itself instead of using the 5 bolt flange. I will also be welding on a -16AN male fittings onto the thermostat housing and into the radiator to use a braided hose to with stand heat better then the new OBX hoses I have on it, and also will be elimnating the heater hose pipe and heater hoses since this car is no longer a daily driver...

I wish I didn't. IMO, the extra weight doesn't offset the gain in temps. I gained right around 10* when I pulled the heater core on the NA.
AND, of course, I threw it out, lol.

I know it will raise temps, however, I always have some thing up my sleeve to fix that issue :)

3" SS v-band from turbine housing. 3" OD, 0.065" wall SS mandrel bends and pipe. I give the exhaust gas as much straight pipe as I can before the turn (trying not to hurt spool-up). From there, it sweeps down under the manifold. Wastegate dump follows, going under the manifold. Everything is wrapped, to keep heat where it should be.

The downpipe is split with another v-band. That angle is actually not cheated. It is welded to a thin slice of mandrel bend (from before I had this joint). The wastegate dump merges in at a low angle (to minimize disruption of main exhaust flow). I've got bungs for the stock front O2 and wide-band O2. A bracket bolts to the block. A short flex-joint, a couple bends and we exit at another 3" v-band (the remaining exhaust continues with 3" OD, 0.065" wall SS pipe and v-band joints all the way to the muffler tip).

The pipe is wrapped to keep heat out of the oil pan and keep the cat hot. I put a SS skid plate to keep from tearing up the wrap and flex-joint on the lovely VA roads. I did all the work myself. Many, many hours were spent cutting, fitting, and TIG'ing it together.

Corbin, that's an awesome setup. Very impressive. I was looking for more typical setups but got more than I bargained for. Did you weld the manifold yourself, too? I need a lot more experience with welding to get to that point but I do have access to a MIG & TIG machine as well as a plasma cutter. Hmm, maybe one day ;)

Ordered my IC, IC piping, wastegate, bov flange (maybe I'll TIG that myself), MBC (Hallman pro, woohoo!) and all the gaskets I'll need yesterday. One step closer.. Just need oil lines, bov, boost gauge, and a few miscellaneous fittings and of course the manifold and dp from the 2gnt member and I'm good to go. Look for an install thread soon :)

I did do the manifold myself. That was my first TIG project (and welding in general). I don't own a welder, but have access to one at work. If you have access to one, I highly recommend you give it a shot for a few hours. Get someone to show you the basics and borrow a welding training manual from the library. You might feel retarded in the beginning, but is an excellent skill to have.
And whatever sort of contest we are having, Bullet won. Longest, least number of joints, most excessive use of straight pipe, largest number of people required to install one pipe, etc.

I started with the POS Hahn Downpipe...which is basically just the top portion that fits over a stock DP. Since the stock DP is crap as well, I decided to craft my own for my s16g application.
I used the basic Hahn 2-1/4" piece with the 16g flange connected to a 2.5", 90 degree elbow piping and a flex section. Then used 2) 45 degree sections to make the upward curve. Matched the flange to the Cat delete pipe, drilled and welded on the 2) o2 bungs (one stock, one for the WB A/F gauge) then had it Jet Coated with their 1500 degree coating. Done.
