I've looked around online and can't seem to find anything but Universal kits. Anyone know where I can find an IC Piping kit for the 420a. I am using this Spearco FMIC:

Just wondering if there is any kits out there or am I going to have to goto a shop to have custom piping made?

Running that intercooler you would need a universal kit..

Did I read that right, $915 for that intercooler? You can get an HRC for $600 or so. Sometimes they sell for even less on the forums here.

In regards to the piping, make sure the universal kit comes with some 90 degree couplings and more than just straight ones.

haha yeah I know the price on that is high. The guy I got it from wrecked his car and was still in the "im pissed off, I don't care about the world" mode and I picked it up for $300 without a scratch on it.

you should have told us that first. lol. who pays that much for a fmic with out that feeling of getting ripped off. just look at ebay piping. keep him is that mood and get some more stuff for cheap }(

Also make sure you get some good silicone couplers and really good clamps to hold everything securely. Boost will rip through cheap rubber couplers and home depot clamps in a week, trust me. This place has really good quality stuff and ships fast. http://www.siliconeintakes.com/

if you're running higher boost levels, you may want to consider purchasing piping that has rolled edges on the pipes to prevent pipes from poping off their couplers. If you can't find em, you could just tack weld a few spots on the edges to simulate a rolled edge or just take some pliers and bend the edges up.

DO NOT buy T-bolt clamps from these guys, theirs are terrible!
But, their couplers are fantastic.

Anyone done this by chance that would know what bends/lengths of pipe I should get? Looking @ the universal kits on ebay it doesn't look like I can find one that would get me all the piping I would need. It looks like I would need to buy more 180 degree or 90 degree bends so I think I will just go through JC Whitney...Thought I would ask you guys' input on what bends I should get and how many of them for this style FMIC. Thanks again for all the help! Appreciate it very much.

That is why I am in the process of modifying my intercooler so it has the inlet and outlet on the same side. This way it eliminates the need for 2 180* bends out of the i/c. I bought a universal 3 inch piping kit that I will be using on the stroker this year. If I were you, unless your planning on running big boost, stick to 2.25 or 2.5 piping.

If you dont mind me asking...what bends (with the end tanks on both sides of fmic) did you need to use....I mocked up with pvc piping a route for the IC piping (I will NOT use pvc of course)...due to the fact im using a T3/T4 60 Trim on the Hahn Racecraft log manifold I dont have room to point the turbo down so I have to add another 180 degree bend on the hot side for it to connect. I will post pictures of it as it sits and see if you guys can tell me if im doing it wrong (because I probably am)

(I know engine bay is extremely dirty...been working on it outside and wind has been crappy lately.)

- 180 off passenger side end tank
- straight pipe
- 90 up
- straight pipe
- 180 into turbo (removed for pics)



*Cold Side*
- 90 off intake
- straight pipe

- straight pipe



*Cold Side Continued*

I should have finished pics of everything welded together by next weekend. To be honest, I cannot remember which bends I used, but they were all from the ebay universal kit.
