I didnt have any big problems before I put the turbo on. I hope to keep it that way. I am going to be putting in a new one soon. Hopefully before the one in my car now starts acting up.

if you have many miles on u'r engine, check your head gasket, our engines have a problem with that. My engine w/80k miles blew when i turbocharged it.. head gasket went.. bummer.

hmm been turbocharged for 5 months haven't had any problems execpt for stuff because me... like exploding oil pressure sensors, etc...

Problem is that the engine bay gets really hot not to mention the engine, but the intercooler and oil cooler help that out a lot! You might want an exhuast too, so you don't restrict the horsies.

Grrr it's gonna eat you up!

have any of you guys taken long trips (5 hours or more) while turboed? it doesn't get too hot does it?

You shouldn't really be under boost on long trips if you're driving normally. Therefore, the car acts just as it had when it was naturally aspirated. (same heat, same stress) I've been on numerous 3+ hour road trips.

14 mos. 17k miles. No problems.

Since June and 8000 miles. No problems except for my valve cover just started to leak a little. Prolly not turbo related though.

Been turbo for 4k miles, not a single problem (knock on wood). Valve cover leaks a little oil out of the breather but can be solved and is not really a problem. That happens to factory turbo cars so no biggie. As far as trips, the next day after the turbo was put in, I went to the beach which is a 3 hour drive. Everything was fine but I did push it to 145mph once and it was all gravy.

No problems yet with the turbo and Super20G you should be KILLING corvettes at 25psi. 18psi should be more than enough for a new vette except for off the line traction. The only ones you shouldn't be able to beat are the Z06 (well at 25psi you should from a roll). A new Vette runs 13.3 or so and thats with RWD and big ass rear tires. From a roll you should be KILLING (repeat) them and walking them down from a standing start.

Must of missed this thread..

I've been turbo for 7 months and 6500 miles with no mechanical problems. Only problems I have is I keep getting a CE light but I think its due to a bad o2 sensor.

I need to get rid of the cat and stock dp now }>
oh yeah...and learn how to fricken drive. 2.5 short times suck.
