might want to start saving up for a rebuild. I seem to recall one of your compression readings to be a bit low. I would keep the boost low to prevent costly damages.

No.....that's ok when you boost..cuz remember, all vaccumm lines turn to boost lines including all emission related components. If you get excess oil then its a prob...just run a tube down to the ground .

buy a catch can. All it is, is the oil sloshing around and nowhere to go but out of the breather hole.

are you sure, this has only happened once...today. and i wasnt driving hard, it was a 20 minute commute in traffic, normal boosting, no overrevving or race-like acceleration. id say it was maybe 3 tablespoons of oil. anyone else care to comment? yes my number four cylinder was 160psi compression. and i am saving for the rebuild kit asap.

3 tablespoons of oil is not that big of a deal. Most days I have little to no "blow-by", but some other rare days, I will get more than others.

Just make sure you keep your oil to accepted levels. (gotta watch out for our bearings) However, even 4g63 guys get oil blowby. It's very common, and unless it's just a ton, or excessive as mentioned above, you have nothing to worry about since its' expected. Bill Hahn has even mentioned on the board before how our engines seem to be overly susceptible to a good amount of blow-by under positive crankcase pressure.

Like it was said above, get a catch can and monitor your oil levels. I'm sure it's an indicator of your stock rings starting to deteriorate, but from day one, our stock rings suck and aren't doing a "great" job of sealing the pistons, boost or no boost. As you can imagine, the addition of boost is going to excacerbate the situation.

160 is low I would take it easy for a while untill you have the $$ for the rebuild kit. You might want to do the compression test again and check the numbers over.

our engines under pressure are proven to blow out oil. I have done it many a time. Normal. jus tmake sure it is not ALL of the oil. check your levels and get a catch can.

Yep our engines like to let out a little oil once in a while. I have a tube that runs pretty low so that the drips go on the ground and not my engine.
