Looks pretty nice..Although I just purchased the AEM UEGO gauge type wideband kit for my car, for about the same price..pretty much the same thing though..Having an incar wideband full time is going to be awsome for tuning..

This is a really attractive buy for me but the lack of logging capabilities worries me. Is it THAT important? I've searched and I'm finding that alot of wideband setups that can log are runnning quite a bit higher in price. I'm assuming that's the sacrifice I'll have to make. :(

I may have to go with this instead of the regular DynoTune wideband I had been planning on getting...

Yeah, Thura has a write up on it on the main page. I'll add too, that the ONLY downfall to the AEM gauge type wideband, is you can't really log with it..sort of..The gauge does have a wire that you can hook up to a RS232 serial cable(you have to wire it to the cable), and use Hyperterminal on your PC to log. But, you can only log the A/F, nothing else, wich really, isn't too helpful. I guess if anything, you can see if you ran lean during a pull, but exactly when, you wouldn't really know(you could guess i suppose, by looking from beginning to end of the log). Hey, somethig is better than nothing though..I wasnt too concerned with logging, but i rather wanted it for quick reference, and on the fly tuning with the 034 8 injector setup. IMO, a dyno is best used for rigorous tuning, where you can log A/F, timing, HP and torque, ect..But overall, this gauge is very accurate, and seems to work very well for its intended purpose...and looks mighty cool in the gauge bezel :)

God that is the ugliest gauge I have ever seen. 430 seems a bit high. I have seen them on www.froogle.com for around 350. Check out these guys. When I get some xtra $$ I might invest in one.

I have the FJO wideband. I love it. It is great for in car tuning. Not sure about the logging capabilities, I haven't looked into it.

It logs not only AFR but Lambda, EGT, Boost, RPM, TPS as well. (all it needs is a timing adv. log and it would be perfect)

Your two wire EGT probe hooks right up to it so you dont have to buy the one on the site. The software is simple to use and easy to read. I like it because you can cross ref. everything right there on one easy to see screen. I just wish I had one years ago because it would have saved me money on all my pos Autometer gauges.

I think it is a great unit for the price. I also wouldn't dream of buying a wideband unit it if couldn't log.

Chris, we should get together sometime forsure. I will be out of shool on the 16th of June and I am planing on "finishing" my car as to move on to the next. So i will be working on it almost daily.

If you guys had gone to the site I posted you would have seen the wide band there REPLACES your current 02. If you have a pocket logger or somthing like that you could now see alot of those things, along with a now wideband setup.

I just read on that zetroblablabla one. That is a great one. I would almost get it over all others if I had an laptop.

Also , I would not want to replace my stock one with this one. Its not that hard to unscrew when not in use, and it would somewhat prolong the life span of the wideband sensor.

Okay, I was seriously thinking about getting the dynotune kit Uber originally posted, but I just noticed that Zeitronix model can also display boost, EGT and Lamda. Someone elighten me as to just what Lamda is will ya?

This unit could take care of all my monitoring needs and then some! I was planning on spending around $160 for the DynoTune EGT and then picking up the wideband separately. Getting this unit would replace them both, allow for a completely stealth install (no pod = no warning imo), and save me at least $100.

Added plus if you're turbo! I'm thinking this could be your main info center for tuning. A/F, EGT and Boost in one place? Those are the big three if I'm not mistaken. Sure, you could throw on a pillar pod (or sneaky guage bezel pods) for your fuel pressure and oil pressure guages, but the big three relating to things going kaBOOM are all right there with that thing. Me likey. Me likey a lot!

yeah i just called one of those companies to verify.
The wideband would help you log your data, which in conjunction with a labtop and your stand alone, you can basically self tune the car yourself, minus obviuosly not being able to dyno run your car for hp stats.

It looks like a toss up between the PLX or the LM-1, which both come up to around the same price total.
$500 + $35 (wideband gauge convertor)+ $40 (autometer air/fuel meter) for the PLX M500.

$350 + $100(rpm convertor)+ $60 (Analog display) for the LM-1)

I'll look into that zetroblahblah more later.
*EDIT. This is a pretty cool and easy to read display though:


also LM-1 is coming out with a 'auxbox' in a month , which comes with all sensors built in - i'll try to find out more about that later.

Okay fellas. So considering this display:

*Lambda is the voltage of the wideband sensor, such as would be displayed on a digital A/F guage (obvioulsy range is dependant on narrow band or wideband, but the same type of numbers)
*AFR is the actuall A/F ratio. So if stoich is 13.6 (I'm guessing here), you could get a quick glance reading of your ratio with this thing and not have to worry too much about Lambda.

Is this right? I'm still liking this Zeitronix box the best at this point. :thumbsup

sorry but the tech edge unit is much better than all these combined.
