104827, An unexpected Dyno run, Video and pics inside!

Well as I said it was unexpected, I went to a show/JDM/dyno contest from a page that I visist a lot from here in Puerto Rico. I just went with a friend of mine to hang out with the guys. But since no body was signing up for the dyno contest the event organizer/ page owner. Made a deal with the dyno guys and got us 3 pulls for $10. So everyone got on it LOL. I didn't expect much out of mine cuz I haven't yet installed the F/IC and the wideband nor the FMIC. So I wasen't expecting much I took it more as a chance to have a base before I tunned my car anyways here it is. The vid shows the first out of 3 pulls: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/wwwspeedclubprcom-Dyno_204364.htm

That was fine since I wasent expecting nothing like that!

Second pull I adjusted the fuel reg. MORE FUEL, it actually made less power but it's because I'm having trouble with keeping the psi steady first run was 2psi more than the other 2 so I'm going to change the MBC for a better one and see if that solves the problem. Anyways it was a tad rich, so for the last pull I lowered a few psi on the fuel reg. and that was it.

Heres the pic of the dyno sheet, don't be scared of the torque it's that I accidentaly re-clutched on the dyno LOL.

Nice numbers, whats your mod list? UDP? Bigger TB?

Well it's pretty basic 450cc, wally, t3/t4 , 60mm throttle, 38 mm WG, SMIC from a mazda. 1:1 fuel reg. and 2 1/2 exhaust. I haven't tunned it yet I heve the AEM f/ic waiting for the install and the wide band also a front mount is soon to be added to the car and then i'll tryy again to see what numbers i get. Might change the MBC too looks like that is what is giving me trouble or do u think it might be the WG?

How much boost were you running and what were you using for fuel control?

Boost--->> LOOK AT THE PIC!

FUEL---->> READ AT TOP!!!!

I don't want to be taken the wrong way, but it's all in the pic and in the first post, please take a moment and read everything and look at all the picture and THEN you might not have to ask something that already there.

Thanxs anyways for taking the time to see the post.

Sorry missed the boost on the dyno sheet.
The only thing you say for fuel control is things you haven't yet installed and a 1:1 afpr...

Yes aa 1:1 fpr is the only thing I have at the moment to "tune" with.

I'm suprised how good of afr's you have for what your using. I've seen someone use 440's with a 3:1 fmu. So I'm suprised you weren't really lean with a 1:1 and 450's.

Well actually it's pretty rich according to the dyno it was at 10.8:1 a/f ratio. I left it like that for safety but I want to fix the boost thing, I have to make it keep the boost at peak and not drop. I'm guessing with that fixed and the other things I already mentioned before I might squeeze 20+ whp so I will keep it that way till I rebuild the bottom.

10.8:1 is pretty good considering you have basically no tuning ability. What fuel pressure do you have at idle?
Do you have a wideband?

Well in the last pull, as it is now the fuel pressure at idle with the vac line on the reg. is @ 25-27 , I do have a wideband but haven't installed it yet. Still waiting to gather up some cash to install the FIC with the wideband and then get a fmic. After that I will try again on the dyno to see where I am at.

Not bad at all man, especially for under 10 PSI. Can't wait till we see those new numbers after tuning! Keep up the good work.
