ok so i have a black 95 420a eclipse...
the motor is less the 500 miles old...here is a lil background...

Engine Internals:
Eagle rods, JE 8.8:1 pistons,re-enforced main girdle for higher RPM, Cometic .20 MLS HG

Engine Management:
Hahn portfueler, MSD BTM (boost timing masters), Innovate LC-1 wideband w/ DB gauge, AutoMeter blackout Gauges: Vac/ Boost (20psi), Oil Pressure (elecrtical)

Bolt-on Modifications:
Turbonetics t3/t4e 50 trim,hahn racecraft inter-cooler and piping kit, ported 55mm TB, hahn portfueler stage 5, twin fuel rail running stock inj. as primary and 48lb inj. secondary, Blocked off EGR, Walbro 255 lph HP fuel pump, aeromotive 1:1 fuel reg., custom down pipe, Turbonetics turbo manifold, turbonetics Evolution 44mm wastegate, turbo XS MBC, Greddy type-S BOV, NGK BKR7E-11 plugs, MSD tach adapter (currently running 20psi)

Drivetrain Modifications:
SBC stage 3 clutch

Suspension Modifications:
HP Blue shocks, tokiko springs, 18" ADR rims

Now with all that being said, i am having one MAJOR issue...no matter what i do the car goes lean under a good load... 1st and 2nd gear will pull hard all the way through, 3rd will run up to bout 4500-5500rpm in the 10.8-11.4 rich area (AFR) and then BOOM "22.4 LEAN" This does not matter if i am at 8psi boost 0r 20psi... it will do the same thing... i feel it fall on its face and run like crap and as that happens it drops off to lean!
i so far have put new fuel pump, regulator, fuel rails and injectors, lines and filter in, none of that worked so i tried running couple extra ground wires (engine block to chass.) didnt change, so i tried the ecu and all the parts out of my red car that is the same build (even the full intake mani with all the sensors that i KNOW work fine in the other car, and still doing it!!!
if anyone has a suggestion PLEASE help i am at a loss...what more can i do

did you bother to retune the EIC controller? You have checked all the things that will not lead to this exact issue......

and what do yo u mean retune the EIC controller?

the EIC has a fuel map inside of it that you need to tune with a laptop. Its not a setup that you plug it ina nd never mess with. You need to datalog many runs and retune accordingly.

Look up the software you should have gotten with that fuel controller (eic), if its not loaded on your computer, you will need to do that and start to familierize yourself with it. Your going to have to tune it, that is why your running lean. Its not anything else, its the map. Turn your boost all the way down until you know how to tune it or find a dyno shop that can.





as for your flaming.........

You listed the hahn portfueler stage V then listed each piece of it like it was an upgrade. You cont run a portfueler without 2 fuel rails, 1:1 regualator, ect ect
When you do something stupid or foolish, your going to get picked on no matter where you go because you make yourself look dumb. After a post that insults our intelligence in the general section ("i am having a MAJOR prob and need a to know if i am the only person who has ever seen this occur! ") Some of us have cars built far greater than yours and have seen and experienced far greater problems than yours! Trust me, the hard time others will give for a dumb comment like that will make me seem pretty nice. If your going to cry about it, dont make comments like that. Your list of Mods, indicates you have no idea what your talking about. You might want to leave the "main girdle Support" out or prove why we need it and how you built it something stronger than the cast iron block.

Thats totally fine but until you get your facts straight please dont try to make me look stupid... i have done EVERYTHING that anyone i know can possibly think of and no its not the fuel map...i know how to use it has a decent map...it was doing it with my split second FTC and now with the hahn... same prob same area everything... totally different maps, on the dyno we even tried dumping as much fuel as possible to that area and seeing if it would even attempt to go rich and NOPE!
i am saying this is a BIG prob because i know a lot of guys with very fast 420a's and 4g36's who know their stuff pretty damn well and NOONE can seem to figure out this prob...im not insulting anyone or their skill or probs... I came HERE to ask and see if someone had any good ideas that i haven't tried. its just something you wouldnt understand unless you were around the car or knew exactly what i mean i guess cause it seems like "DUH DIPSHIT...just change THIS and you ur set" but its not that at all

This is a very basic question at a very basic level. You see we have no idea who you are right now or your level of knowledge. We see people come on here all the time that claim levels of knowledge they just don't have, so we start with something basic.

Look, believe it or not we want to help you figure out your problem. I'm not going to go into comparing my E-cock to your E-cock, its just not my style. Suffice it to say, that I have quite a bit of knowledge about the 420a's. The guy who just answered your question, puts me to shame. It does you no good to get defensive and angry about stuff that doesn't matter. You say that it is a problem that none of your "guys with very fast 420a's and 4g36's who know their stuff pretty damn well" could figure out. Well, wouldn't it make more sense to just point out some facts as a back and forth conversation than to attack someone who is trying to help you with hard to solve problem?

Itgs your map and until you wake up your going to endure this problem until you blow the car up. The minute someone tells you what its not when your knowledge well surpasses theirs gives you a warm fuzzy feeling your dealing with some 21year little punk. Do what you want but i am guessing your car isnt getting fixed by your attitude.

Maybe there is a problem with the portfueler module. Have you asked them about it?

Ok really?? i dont have an attitude and i dont know why you are getting one with me. i am simply looking for help here and i am telling you what i have done to change this prob and it still has not changed... sorry if i came off rude or seemingly butt hurt over it all but i am so frusterated with the same questions and same responses...just a little tired of this issue, been searching for an answer since august and havent drove the car...just getting really old ya know?

On a more serious note, I didn't see any type of FCD or Missing Link to prevent the MAP from seeing positive pressure, I know not all 95's don't need them but there are a few that have ended up needing them. On another note, where did you score those rare Crower 272 for the eclipse man, I've been looking for some and I can't find anyone that has them in stock. LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!

ok look terry i understand you know your shit and i am not trying to insult you in anyway... i need help so if you have advise i am all ears... just throwing it out there i have another eclipse that runs excellent and i switched the entire fuel system (regulator,hahn portfueler, tuned map, walbro 255 every fuel delivery part including the filter), intake, and ecu from it to this car and still no help...
so shoot me some questions is you have any ideas and i will let you know what i have tried and havent

Edit: i dont even feel like explaining anymore. your problem is simple figure it out.

As for your cams.......Crower has never made 272's for an eclipse. that proves you know very little about this platform. 272 was an actual measurement of the 4g63 cam and that very measurement will not work with this head design or motor.
