Hi I have a 1996 eclipse gs and I recently obtained a garret t25 turbo off of a saab. Does anyone now of a turbo manifold made to fit a t25 turbo to a 420a?

Its going to be a bitch to fabricate everything to get it to fit onto the t3 manifolds since it’s a t2. Really not worth doing unless you have a welder and can fabricate.... Best thing you could do if money is tight is sell your t25 and save up for a Chinese knock off or buy a used t3/t4 turbo off eBay.

I also have the manifold and all of the turbo related saab parts. I figured it would be easy enough to hack up the saab and eclipse manifold to weld up one new one since fabrication is not a problem. I wanted to buy one premade because my car is a daily driver. I already have a t3/t4 ebay turbo but I haven't bothered with it because all I hear is bad shit about them .

Your talking about welding cast. Unless you know how to weld cast and have an industrial over....its not going to happen.

Yeah never really thought about that one. Good point. Now I feel like a bumbass.

There good for low boost applications; it’s really a hit and miss type deal. There are a number of people running knockoffs on this forum for a number of years. Just buy an star type manifold on ebay, there around 130. If it’s your dd and u do a hack job install then your going to have so many problems....it might make you want to sell your car.

i run a star imitation off ebay. i also run a t3/t4 at 20 psi, its seen 21. running for 3+ years now, no issues. Hit or miss? I hit this one good on ebay. good luck

if you really cant part with your t25 and dont want to fab a new manifold.
grab a tredstone mani off ebay, then grab a T2 to T3 adapter plate and have at it. fitment might be crazy and you'll DEFINITELY have to fabricate your own down pipe.

other then that sell the parts and get a t3/4 and go the normal route

Thanks, that helps a lot I will definatly consider the adapter plate. I was planning on making my own downpipe anyway so I took the saab downpipe also.

after looking at the t3 to t2 adapter i noticed that has a decent amount of space between the two flanges. it looks to me like i will definately have clearance issues either at the cooling fan or even the hood. does anybody know if this could possibly fit in my car without cutting my hood or replacing the fan with something a little slimmer.

Probably not. You are going with a custom kit, so you will have to customize things. Whether that be slim fans, pusher fan setup, smaller radiator, etc.

When I was doing some searching for you on ebay I seen the adapter for the t3 to the t2 setup and thought it wouldn’t fit that’s why I said nothing. But come to think of it, if you don’t already have the star/treadstone type manifold you could always find a tubular set up on the internets. Or better yet get someone to make you one on this forum with a t2 flange for a reasonable price(best option), without having to modify anything. But then agian if you want to upgrade later on to a t3 i would get the t3 flange for now and use the t2/t3 adapter on the tubular set up.

I would like to fabricate my own manifold because I have the ability, access to a welder, and experience with welding. I found the 420a flange but I cannot find a t25 flange. Probrably because I am too computer illiterate.
