It's been awhile since I've been on here and I tried looking for the answer and I keep on getting how much boost can I run with high octane. But I'd like to ask the opposite What the lowest octane you can safely run with lower compression pistons?

I'm running 8.8:1@10PSI right now and gas prices are goin up so save a a couple bucks I put regular in on the last tank thinking it'd be fine I've lowered the compression ratio and it seems ok but do other people do this? I don't really race my car anymore the most boost the car sees is when I'm merging with traffic :P (and the lag is horrible with a T3/T4 with locompression X_X

your boost is making up for the lack of compression with the pistons. run 91 and give up on trying to get away with being cheap, you're gonna damage something.

Do the math.

what, 8 years ago, gas was like this:
87 octane: 1.00
93 octane: 1.30 (23% more a gallon)

Today, gas is like this:
87 octane: 4.00
93 octane: 4.30 (7% more a gallon)

In other words, its so damn high, does it realy make a difference in price anymore? its only 7% more.
