103653, Suggestion on plugs, need them to last more than a month!

Well I've been turbo for almost 6 month now. I've got a few issues here and there but almost all of them I've fixed thanxs to the info here.

Well I have a t3/t4 and stock bottom end running 10 psi with a wally 1:1 fuel reg with the turbo injectors and safc2 to fine tune.

Thing is my plugs don't last more than a month and I've tried lots of them, the seem to be getting to much fuel they are all black in the tip.
I've been using NGK V power plugs I tried -9 ones they only last a week and -8 ones wich are a bit hotter go out pretty fast but if I gap them at .020 they last almost a month.

I need some suggestions I've fouled at least 10 or more set of plugs since I boosted does anyone know which can last more or what can I do to increase their lifespan. Thanxs in advanced...

I think you stated your own problem in the 2nd sentence, particulary the part about a 1:1 fuel regulator, Turbo injectors, and SAFC to fine tune.

You don't need to be running a 1:1 regulator unless you are running a stand alone (AEM, MSnS) or using an 8 injector set up. I don't know how you havn't blown something up yet with that set up! What fuel pressure are you running at idle? With the 450's it needs to be down in the low 20's to high teens. You really need to search and read up on fuel systems for this car. The easiest set up for you would be to put the stock injectors back in and run a 12:1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator, and keep it on no more than 8 psi of boost. Once you read on fuel systems you could then learn about inline resistor packs to run the stock turbo dsm injectors and a lower rate regulator or an SFMU or Megasquirt etc.

you said -9 and -8 plugs? Wrong plugs all together. just go buy the stock plug listed for your car (BKR6E-11). OR if you want cooler get the NGK BKR7E (Stock NO 6097)

hotter plugs are for NT applications, you want cooler plugs.
id get the stock $1.25 copper core NGK plugs. or go one range colder and you should be good

Well thanxs for the advice I am going to get those plugs an see how the work out.

Yeah I know the 1:1 reg it's a bit tricky but I rather be pig rich than lean. And the press it's at like 20-22 at idle and that still is a bit rich but just to be safe. Anyways the only problem it's that it fouls the plugs really fast let's see if this new plugs last longer..

I have read that the bkr7e plugs need to need to be set at .030 - .035
correct me if I am wrong just need to be sure to do it perfectly when I do the change, and thanxs again you guys always help me out when I need it!

Wow. Thats just plain wrong. Do you even know how regulators work? Do you know what the 1 and the 1 mean in a 1:1 ratio?

Everyone trying to boost their cars these days is idiotic...

X2

Get your fuel setup figured out instead of wasting money on plugs that will keep fouling out. Ditch the 1:1 and get an SFMU instead.
