103565, Clocking a dsm t25 turbo to use internal gate vs external gate

You can only guess i'm posting this because i want to use an internal wastegate to save some fab/down time.

There are only two wg can mount bolt holes on the compressor housing. Would drilling and tapping accordingly be a problem?

You can just drill and tap two new holes on the back side of the compressor housing. Just make sure you don't go too deep.

Ok. Well, i think i'll drill and tap. I'm far to lazy to make a bracket. I spent a good bit making egr blockoff plates out of a starter plate, jigsaw and a file.

It wasn't fun, it isn't pretty but it works. That has absolutely nothing to do with a wastegate. Well, I think i'll use my now useless soleniod for some dual stage boost control action. Still not related.... I'm just making excuses now.

Next up.

I loosened all the bolts on the turbine housing and hosed the bitch down with wd40. I still can't get the housing to move to clock it so i'm thinking i just wont clock it. If anyone can give some words of wisdom ("fuck you" or "you suck at life, kill yourself" are suitable) I'd rather appriciate it.

Thanks, as always.

Your fellow 2gnt tuner who cusses like a sailor and throws wrenches like nobodys business,

jesus i'm sure that was good for precision bearings!
make sure you didnt knick/damage/offset the compressor or turbine while you were wacking on the turbo.

I had the bolts just tight enough to keep the housing from f-ing anything up. It's fine.

How else are you supposed to sepparate 2 peices of cast iron that were joined together and ran through high heat cycles for atleast 10-12 years? Stroke it gently?
