Turbo: For how much time (Years, months or watherever)do you guys have use a turbo for your 420A, im looking at having one with moderate boost but reliable, for a long time and long trips, selling it and buying a GS-T is out of the question so don't go even there.
Tranny Fluid. Wich tranny fluid should I use, The Best out there, amsoil, Mobil what ever just want the best. I have a hard time shifting and i'm going to try this first, if it doesn't help, then the next step would be to sell my car. ;-) j/k.
One more thing do you guys go up to 100 mph in 3rd gear, stock or modded (should it make a diference?), at what RMP's i went to 80 MPH in 3rd at aprox. 6500 RMP's, and i bet my pant's i can't get another 20 MPH from there to redline.
TIA

you could try BG Syncroshift at www.machv.com or www.roadraceengeneering.com i Just changed mine and it feels noticably smoother in most gears.

Okay just to let you know, the is a 420A board and we have all been told that many times, that's why this board is here, because you don't want to sell it and get a crankwalking gsx/gst.
We can handle/make a lot of power with these cars. I am All Motor so I don't have to many turbo answers for you.

Okay, When I am throttle happy I can go exactly 100mph at 7200 RPM in 3rd gear. At the top of 2nd I am hitting 65-70ish.

LAST EDITED ON 03-Oct-01 AT 04:08 PM (PST)I would use whatever teh manual recommends. Turbo depends on what condition the car is in and if its installed and set up right. some have blown motors in less than a month and some have had it over a year
