10293, MBC question??? Posted by JustOne, Sep-25-01 12:10 PM
Do any of you guys have a boost controller on your hrc kit? The booklet that comes w/ the kit says not to put one on, why is that?
I also saw on the hrc site that the upgrade from stage 1 to stage 2 come w/ ic, ic piping, and a 7psi actuator. So, will i be able to turn the boost up w/ out the actuator or will i have to get a newone?
I have the TurboXs mbc. Anyone with this same one where did you mount it? Do you have and pics?
As always Thanks!

i got a homemade boost controller i made for like 25 duckettes. i don't see why you can't thronw one on there to turn up your bost but make VERY LITTLE turns cause unless you got a lot of psi to be able to adjust up to like me, you'll blow your ish up.

The reason HRC's instruction say not to use a boost controller is simple: If you do and blow it up, they DID tell you not to, now didn't they?
My only advice here would be to ask Bill or any of the HRC powered guys here what they feel the safest boost for your stage and fuel system would be. Remember: before you raise boost, you have to be able to remove the extra heat generated (IC) and be able to supply fuel for the extra air.
