So this morning I drive my car and noticed it had a sudden drop in power,so i check all the intercooler couplers and make sure there on tight and everything checked out.after a little investigating i noticed my new wastegate gasket i put on is leaking:(the gasket is a cheap sheet metal gasket off of ebay so i ran a bead of high temp rtv and still it wound up leaking..is there anything i can put on ie.. gasket maker that will hold up the the high temps and pressure and what are the symptoms of the gasket leaking because my car has lots more hesitation and kinda sputters but whats wierd is im still boosting just fine according to the boost guage...is the gasket the corporate of these symtoms ?plz help me be fast again

If the leak is after the turbo then you shouldn't notice performance wise. You could be getting false readings on your o2 sensor which might have something to do with it.

My wastegate gasket just recently blew out also. Buy a new gasket for it and make sure the bolts are on tight. RTV and gasketmaker will not hold up to those temps most likely and that's why you still get leaks.

Buy from atp turbo.
Ebay really is a hit or miss and if you miss out, you're going to be pissed.

It's a gasket, not much to it. I just bought one from ebay last night for around 10 shipped. I've bought all my 38mm ext. wastegate gaskets from ebay. Mine blew out because I removed the wastegate for the headgasket change and my buddy didn't get it back on there tight enough and it leaked.
