Anyone with any firsthand experience with any ceramic exhaust coatings? Deciding between JetHot and Swaintech or one of the other many coaters such as moorepower or crucial...

I'm getting the exhaust manifold, exhaust housing and downpipe coated.

I've already received a quote from JetHot for $280. According to Swaintech's site I should expect a quote b/t $300-440.

I know JetHot claims a 400 degree drop in surface temps, I'm just trying to figure out that point of dimishing returns...If $280 buys me 400 degrees from JetHot, what will $400 at swaintech buy me? Or $180 at one of the other smaller coaters?

Ive been looking around all morning but its next to impossible to find actual numbers to compare the different coaters....

Im picking the turbo up from being rebuilt tomorrow, want to get this done soon after to get the car on the road, its been down a long time. Now running a Holset HX40 with Bullseye Power exhaust housing...

Well that kinda just broke off.

You got everything coated but what were the results of it and do you think it was worth it.

I swear to god i woke up out of a sound sleep last night (well, i'm also fighting a cold and suck at sleeping right now.) and thought 'i'm going to wrap or coat my entire exhaust system. More heat kept in the exhaust = more power.'

Which coating did you use on the exhaust components? Have you had it long? If so, has it held up? Noticeable drop in underhood temps?

I want the swaintech coating, but its expensive. Im probably going to go with JetHot, but deciding between the Extreme Sterling or Jet Hot 2000 (black) options...

I have jet hot. Turbo and downpipe were the high temp coating and the manifold and intake sections were the sterling silver.

As far as underhood temps, it helps. I have had it for 3 years now. Holds up fine.

Thanks for the feedback -- i picked up the holset from being rebuilt yesterday and im going to be sending all me stuff off in the next couple days. They have an extreme sterling now that is rated at a higher temp than the regular sterling, i think im going to give it a shot. According to jethot, it insulates better than the jethot 2000 coating too, but adds $50 to the price quote.
