I was given a garrett t28 off a nissan 240 I removed the exhaust side of the turbo and slapped on the t25 exhaust side. So its a simple bolt on for my GST. Problem the induser wheel is a .48 on the T28 on the T25 its .45. Can I hand port this? or do I need a machineshop to do it. Its close not much needs to be taken off.

Or can I swap induser wheels. I cant find a machine shop here that deals with turbos. I have 2 t25 turbos both shot. So I have a spare if I screw up.

Im guessing open it up till it spins freely and no more.

you can hand port it, but you have to be quite careful that the clearence is the same all the way around.
some manufatures have clearences and tapers that are matched to a certin compressor and aren't necessarly a straight clearence porting.

why cant you just use the compressor housing from the nissan turbo?
since its a sister to the Silvia iirc they have the 3 bolt triangle outlets, and i know atpturbo has an adapter for that kind. however as nissan never made a turbocharged KA24DE engine, the turbo could be anything from the garrett aftermarket.

you could swap compressor wheels (remember its a lefthanded thread) but then you have to have it balanced again
