102507, fpr mod ? Posted by spooled420, Jan-14-08 01:34 PM
well i did the 95 fpr mod by cutting the nipple off of the regulator but now it seems that when i idle or run under 3000 rpms it seems to sputter and bog out but the thing is theres no black smoke so im not sure if im running rich, does this mod dump more fuel in?or maybe its just a sensor going bad somewhere but i got a check engine light so ill get it scanned this week but does the fpr seem to be the corprate.note its hard to tell what the problem is because i just did the neon block swap so it could be a number of things but any advise would be great thx.

Ever since I went turbo, and did that mod, my fuel system never holds pressure for some reason. Every time I start my car, I have to re-prime by turning the key 3 times until the fp doesn't come on anymore. Then for the first couple minutes of idling, it does sputter a bit, but it goes away. The wierd part is, I'm losing pressure, but not leaking fuel.

The CEL is probably when idling, a 'failure to maintain idle RPM' code. Are you running an exterior FPR? Like a rising-rate or something?

You have an FMU, or an SFMU? An FMU is non-adjustable.

But you can control the injectors with an safc, correct?

you can trick the ecu's air flow readings so that it injects more or less fuel with an safc but you cant control the injectors
