I ordered a star kit and i was wondering how do you adjust psi's without a boost controller? Will I have to buy one???

im not sure with an external wastegate but i would think youd have to. might want to want for a star user though.

You could adjust by turning the hex screw on top of the wastegate. i would'nt recommed adjusting your boost this way. Alot of people here blown thier engine by adjusting that screw. Buy a boost controller its only $50. Do a search...

Just adjust the wastegate screw. As long as you are careful and don't put it too far in, you won't boost to infinity and blow it. The spring that comes with it though is the 7lb spring and you won't be able to boost much past 6 with the losses.

I'd recommend buying a boost controller. That screw isn't an effective way to control boost (it's actually there to control boost creep) and has been known, when adjusted too far, to force the wastegate to stay shut.

yeah i would say don't mess with it.... buy a profec=b or some other boost controler.

if you don't buy a boost controler, what psi would someone run on a star stage 1? is it like automatically preset or something?
