I've never heard too many good things about ebay turbos. I think the internals not being up to par has been the main concern that i've heard about. If it was me I would save up and check the fs section here constantly b/c alot of the time there are turbos and manifolds people are trying to get rid of. As far as the smic and fuel setup I think it will suffice for what you want.

It will work, the question is how long? I have an eBay turbo on my car and it is still working perfectly. I have a writeup written in the Wiki Portion of the site that you can check out and decide for yourself if it is something you want to try.

I have the same turbo and I have 5k+ miles on it so far. I did not properly break it in yet, but I have been overall satisfied.

Personally I have never had one and doubt I ever will. But, i have had friends that have had them and were totally satisfied with them. Even if the turbo does go out you can still rebuild it. I say if you want it go for it.

FMU>SAFC

If your going to use stock injectors, which if your turboing the car for the first time I would reccomend using the stock injectors, just use a fmu.
If you were going to use larger than stock injectors(i.e. 310cc injectors)then you would need to get the sfmu which allows you to actually lower your fuel pressure so you can use larger injectors. The fmu doesn't let you change the the fuel pressure for larger injectors, it just changes what the rising rate of fuel pressure is for every 1 psi of boost. Say if you get a 8:1 fmu, for every 1 psi you boost it would raise the fuel pressure by 8 psi. If you are going to boost 5 psi it would raise the fuel pressure by 40 psi and so on. You don't need the safc for what you want right now. Anyways they don't do to well on our car b/c they advance timing on our cars.
Now with all that being said,I can't really remember which fmu you need to get to run with stock injectors. I think it might be the 8:1 but it could be the 10:1 or 12:1. But to just get things started with your turbo setup, I would just get the fmu(which ever one you need for the stock injectors) and while your at it get a fcd(fuel cut defender). You can get them from symtechlabs.com or hit mike up, he makes them and sales them for like $30 I think. I hope I didn't confuse you to much but I can remember when I was where your at. Just ask if you got any more questions.
