This was my first trip to the dyno since I got everything running. It was a 22psi pull on Q16 fuel. No timing was pulled. The afr were at about 11.7 until around 5000 when it went way rich which is evident in the graph. Nothing was SAE correctet just in case anyone wanted to know.

My setup is

8.8 JE's
Crower rods
Crower stage 2 turbo cams
Mildly P&P head with standard size Ferrea SS valves
Portfueler fuel system
Hahn 20g turbo
Open 3" downpipe
Stock intake manifold and throttle body

Nice, i could u getting into the 400's after the fuel issue is solved b/c u did go way rich after 5000rpm. But still very nice numbers and its nice to see some dyno numbers, hopefully i can get mine within the next month. Keep up the good work.

Looking good. Whats next besides leaning it out a bit? Plan on tuning up the boost more? When you hit boost does it stay at 22psi or leak back down?

Mine keeps leaking back down to 16psi. When you do a leakdown test how much can you hold?

I actually live in Hammond by the way,and its been turboed for about two years now.But do to total stupidity and " I KNOW", i am on my third engine. So this is really the first time that I had a chance to see what it could do.

I have never done a leak down test. But I have no problem at all with holding boost. Its the 10lbs actuator using a profec B to control it. It spikes to about 23 then settles to 22 and never moves.

Plans are to not mess with it at all besides leaning it out a bit. I broke the tires loose at around 105mph before the dyno so I really need to learn to drive it.

Whats holding you back from pushing 25-30psi?

My personal opinion is people try to get the best and biggest of everything and they dont worry about getting everything to work together. I dont claim to know everything but I dont follow the bigger is better idea. If i do upgrade something i do ONE thing at a time so that i know what it does.

The slicks actually came off of Hahn's Rs. I called them up before they had even announced they wrecked the car to ask them what backspacing they were using. They made me one hell of a deal so now i have them and they are f-ing sweet.

The only thing holding me back from running more boost is until i learn to drive this much power i dont need more. I dont feel like killing myself at the track. Also i still have stock driveshafts. THis is the last week point of my car, but at this point i just dont have the $1700 for DSS stage fives and i aint waisting my money on any other brand.

We will see what it does Saturday night when i take it to the track. I am hoping for elevens but in reality i just hope my driveshafts dont say fuck you!

3.5" backspacing? what size tires? I'm planning on 24.5-8.5-15

some of those "bigger is better" parts u referr to u r still borrowin lol. u want to c if ur new boost controller can possible control my turbo better, but i think ur right, portin it will b the only way to control the boost on that damn thing.
did u still want to use my bottle for IFO?

Might have remembered your password... but not how to type like an adult! Sheesh.

I don't know if I will want to stay around NPR for Midnight Madness. I plan on spending a good bit of the day there as the French Quarter Classic will be held there Nov. 3 as well.

I would like to meet up though since Hammond isn't far from Denham Springs.

If I calculate right you should be able to peak at 470hp with a prefect tune and water injection ( or a cryo kit that works just as good you just use it quicker) Without a water injection or cryo kist he should be at 400-420. The 20G turbo can support the airflow you just need better tuning, better air fuel control.

Obviously.

Power isn't everything though.

If you can't get it to the ground, hook down the track or hit your shift points, what good does it do you?


Frying tires is fun but beating the dogpiss out of people who think they're something at the track with their bought horsepower.....awesome. Yeah, i'm talking about the 5.0 stangs, M series bimmers, and zo6 vettes.
