Hey there, I got some quick questions I'm sure you guys can answer. I dod search and found lots of info, this post is for conformation. Once I get these Q's answered, I will be ordering my fuel components, so time is an issue here.

I will be running the treadstone setup soon with turbonetics
T3 super 60. For fuel I would like to run Accel 310cc injectors, in tank Walbro 255lph (high pressure model), and a Vortech S-FMU with the additional bleed valve for fine tuning.

My questions are:

Will I be able to run this simple setup the way it stands safely
(does it provide enough tunability)?

Will I need anything to actually tune with, such as a fuel pressure guage, egt guage, a/f guage before I drive the car?

Anyone running this setup or a very similiar one, Please post and let me know how it worked.

Also, I have a safc-I, But going off the general word, This is next to useless and I will probably be selling it.

That's a fine setup. I would recommend all 3 of the gauges you listed. You will NEED a fuel pressure gauge and I would say at least an EGT and a narrowband A/F gauge. If you have a bit of extra money (say from selling the safc) I would look into a wideband a/f gauge instead of a narrowband, much more $$$ but you can do a lot more with it and it is much more accurate. Example you can get the zeitronix package for $400 and add in their optional boost sensor and egt probe (about another $200) and you'll have one display that reads, A/F ratios, boost, and egt's. You will also be able to hook it up to a laptop and log all those plus throttle position, rpm's and more.

You're looking at $20 for a mechanical fp gauge mounted under the hood, $125-$150 for an egt gauge and probe, $50ish for a boost gauge and $25-$50 for a narrowband, $30 for gauge pod. Total $250-$300

Or $20 for mechanical fp gauge again, $400 for wideband and display, $80 for egt probe, and $110 for boost sensor. Total $610. As you can see price does sometimes come into play with what people choose. Although, I can tell you I think everyone on this site that has a wideband (regardless of which one) would say they love it.


Also, for the sfmu setup there is a great diagram complete with part numbers on everything you need in the wiki. Go to the home page, click the link for cars, then modifications, then hunt around in there a bit and you will find it. I do recommend going with a -6an return line instead of the -4an line that the part number is given for in the diagram.

Would this setup work fine with #36 injectors (370cc)? Can I use all of my stock fuel lines with the s-fmu?
