Hello,

I am farily new to the forum I have been reading it a while but never posted anything.

I was wondering how difficult it would be to install a hahn stage 1 turbo kit in my garage at home? I have tons of time on my hands and I have some mechanical skill but I cant weld :( is that going to be a problem? I really dont want to spend a ton of money for a shop to install it for me. sorry if this has been posted before I tried using search but couldnt find anything to help me.

^what he said. The only necessary welding is the oil pan and you can just take that to a shop when you get it off or hunt around here and ebay and see if you can get one with the fitting already welded on.

I did mine in a weekend having never done more than change my oil and rims.

Most people say it's a weekend job but it may take longer so be cautious. I suggest that you do it in stages. Take care of all your gauges and fcd first. Then tackle the fuel pump and fmu. At this point you will still be able to drive your car around with no problems. Then finally do the turbo install. Good luck on the install and let us know if you run into any problems.

I have a spare car im going to be using while I install the turbo (honda = will run longer than I will...perfect backup car) haha

wasnt hard at all. for me it took awhile cause of work, school and getting little pieces here and there. trouble with SFMU, down pipe ect. just be prepared, have some kind of back up transportation.

It could definitly be a weekend job, but things happen. I took two weekends because I custom built my kit and I was missing a few nuts and bolts. Good luck! Make sure to have fun!

I second the Idea of having things installed in segments. I recomend you install ALL of your fuel components and have them tuned to drive just like normal first. The Hahn FMU has a Solid disc inside that is Tuned to the correct Boost to Pressure ratio. You wont need to worry about that till your turbo is installed. So get the Fuel Pump in, Install any injectors and the Hahn FMU. You need to install a Fuel return kit and the Fuel cut defender. All this will take a day maybe two by yourself if your not a mechanic trust me!! The bolting on of the Turbo itself is the easiest part, then you need to install the Intake and turbo piping.

I use all the HAhn fuel stuff. I must have paid 1200 Just for the FMU, Fuel Pump, Lines , Injectors, and Fuel cut defender.
