101426, hahn clevis issue (internal WG) Posted by streetlightning, Sep-04-07 05:24 AM
my friend is having a clevis.WG issue, and imnot to sure on the solution, so heres the problem:
i ordered this new hahn w/g actuator with v band and interchanging spring what not. i get it, and the clevis wont fit, the hole in the clevis is too small. i call brad @ hahn, he told me its zinc you can drill it out to fit the pin. great simple fix, well.....apperntly its made of some un-destructable metal b/c i cant drill thru it, even with a fucking dril press... so option b was my own clevis, shown in the pix. but its so thick that it covers the length of the pin on the turbo and and i cant slide the little aligator pin in to make sure it stays secure. so will it work/be ok without the aligator pin, or do you think when the actuator moves to open that it will slide off the pin?
yes i called hahn and they are being pretty stupid bout this, brad told me he cant get me a clevis that bits b/c apperntly the pin on my turbo is like their 1st gen, and all the clevi's they have are 2nd gen (too small of hole).
any help would be great, thanx guys
