Im reading on vortech website on how to adjust fp and they say you need to take off the vacuum and adjust the static where you want, then you connect the vacuum and turn the vacuum screw until you get the desired fp at idle ???

2gnt say that you dont need the vacuum screw ? im with 440cc so I know my fp should be 15-18 psi on idle (with vacuum connected) but how can I know my static pf ?

good, ive just turn the allen nut with car running and vacuum pluged and lower with from 22 to around 16psi. Ive not checked for static but I know idle is lower now.

To check static, do what Vortech says. Remove the vac line from the SFMU and you will see what it is. Plain and simple.

Right and do I need to know something with my static fp ? Is it important ?

Update: I put my idle fuel pressure at 12psi. Idle fine and on city driving its ok. If I go into highway, at 60miles egt are 1400 F, at 80miles if I let my feet on the gas it will raise to about 1550 F so I remove my feet to avoid burning shit. Does that mean im now too lean ?

Yes. 12psi is WAY too low of pressure.

So basically, the higher the egt's - the leaner you are and lower egt's mean you're running rich right? I have never seen my egt's touch 1000 even at WOT....hmmm

Yea high EGT #'s mean your getting lean.

If you havent touched 1000 degrees, your gauge or something is fucked up because our cars idle around 800 degrees at normal operating temp and normal cruising temp I believe if I recall is around 1200-1400.

Maybe you are on celcius, mine is in ferenheit. Ill try with 16 psi, its hard to set because if I got my desired fp and then i secure the locking nut it will raise or lower the fp a little. At 12psi my a/f was most of the time at 14.6 it will eventualy go to 10 if im in real wot... but on normal cruising was 1500 near 1550, so ill give a try at 16.
