Can anyone tell me the best place to mount the fpr? Without having anything in the engine bay it's hard to figure out where to put it. Thanks

I just mounted mine where the cruise control was. I used the same bolts and only had to drill the aeromotive bracket holes a tiny bit larger. Fits perfect.




I throught I saw some 1g guys w/ it mounted on the rail. I thought that would be neat but I already had it mounted on the firewall.

what do I have to do to get rid of my cruise control? Mine doesn't work anyway. Do I have to do something different with the cable?

You will need a throttle cabe from a car without cruise control. I have one if you cant locate one. And you bypass the vacuum lines that go to the vacuum box located under the intake manifold.

YEP, just make sure you you don't leave any open vacuum sources.

I put mine in the same spot.

how hard is it to run the cable for the non cruise control?

Not hard at all. 2 bolts hold it to the firewall, 2 bolts to the manifold and you release the ends and the cable bolts up that easy. The cruise one is just a tad trickier because you can also remove the cruise vacuum solinoid under the black box that is bolted to the firewall. Not hard but figure an hour total.

yeah it was less then that... i don't have the engine in the car. lol. how do i get the cable out of the pedal in the car.

while under the dash, pull the cable end toward you. Now take a pair of needlenose pliers and remove the plastic clip from the pedal itself. Then you can slide the cable out of the pedal. You will see what i mean when you start working with it. Kinda hard to describe.

thanks for all the help guys. I got the throttle cable out and it wasn't too bad. I got the fpr mounted and I'll have pictures of the setup soon.
