Well after several weeks of messing around, my car is finally turbo'd. :+ I still have many things that I need to change but it felt good taking that first ride and hearing the turbo spool up and then the sound of the bov letting out that whoooooosh sound as I shifted. It's a 14b turbo with an internal wastegate set at 8psi. I still need to change over some of my rubber couplers to silicone, change the cheap gasket that already blew out between the turbo and manifold, re-paint some of the interior pieces that got scratched and clean the hell out of the engine bay and interior of the car. I wanted to thank everyone who helped me along the way especially the guys who answered my pm's with BANME! questions. Here's some pics...

Also painted the whole interior black while installing the turbo kit. Before you guys say it, I know that I need to get a black steering wheel now. :P


Ran out of cash so I had my dad brase some copper pipes and used it as my return line for the turbo. Works great and cheap to make!!

Thanks. I sanded it down with a really light sand paper first then I washed the parts off with warm soapy water. Once they dried up, I sprayed them down with two coats of adhesion promotor which I picked up at autozone. Then I did three coats of black krylon fusion and then two coats of really light clear coat. You have to be very careful with the clear coat cause if you shoot it too close it makes the black look greyish. You want to just shoot the clear coat in very light coats from far. Make sure you don't handle the parts for a few days cause even your finger-nail will scratch the paint real badly when it's not fully dried. It happened to me in a few spots and that's why I have to re-touch some areas. Feel free to pm me if you have any more questions.

Looks good, but I would clock that turbo a hair more to be on the safe side.

I'm not too keen on the painted interior because well it looks painted. I used the duplicolor vinyl/fabric spray on just a couple of the trunk pieces to test it and they match the stock black door panels I have perfectly. I'm going to go ahead and hopefully do a bit more of the interior (and install the door panels) within the next couple weeks. I'll post pics for comparison. Oh and BTW I have found tons of sebrings/avengers in junkyards here that have some black interior pieces if you were thinking of getting stock pieces.

I wanted to clock it so that the oil return line was pointing straight down but I had too many problems with the wastegate. When I would clock the turbo to make the oil drain point down the wastegate flap would be open.

It looks a little better in person but yeah it still looks painted. This is the poor man's version of a black interior. :P

I agree that the turbo should be clocked more, would be too angled to close for comfort for me right now.
