i have a 95 420A talon with a hahn stage2 fmic turbo kit on the car when i bought it. ill list what the car has and what it does if anyone can help id be so thankful. the motor is stock with the turbo kit that was on it and an in line fuel pump with the fac pump.i put a new 12:1 fmu on it. it has a mp 60mm tb. msd coil pack,plx wide band air fuel meter, new narrow band o2 sensor running to the fac wiring with 3" exhaust from turbo to muffler. the car runs pretty good if im on flat or little down hill grade but as soon as i hit up hill or just need alittle bit more power it sucks. it will hit 3-4psi boost fuel pressure goes up but wide band is reading 14.5 or so and then it just goes off fuel pressure will drop 10psi and the wide band will go straight to 11.3 and the car will scream. any ideas. sorry so long

OP, what are you using to trick the MAP sensor?

Yeah, lemme take that back. *I* have a 95, I should have remembered that. Boneheaded on my part.

It should like you're not getting the fuel pressure up fast enough. Can you verify the fuel pressure is increasing consistantly with boost?

ya i have a fuel gauge hooked up and ran out side the hood so i can watch it. it will get say 100psi and the air fuel is 14 then all sudden it will drop about 20psi and it will read 11.3 on the wide band and run like hell

personally I'd replace the inline pump with an in tank walboro . I might sound retarded, but maybe the pumps on the outs and cant push the gas uphill, lol

100 psi? Do you have your fuel return hooked up? I know it is stock on your year.

Also I have a 95 and I had an electrical issue running two fuel pumps. Both wouldn't run at the same time. I did the fuel pump rewire mod with an added relay in the rear and it fixed the issue.

Fuel filter could also cause issues.

Some would argue that the fuel pressure dropped because it was flowing out of the injectors making the mix rich.

good point, possibly hitting full duty cycle? Injectors just staying open?

I would be curious as to what this means:

I don't know everything but what is a wide band meter? What kind of new narrowband? What is FAC wiring?

I would also be leary of the 12:1 FPR. There are a lot of faulty ones around that people replace with better ones and sell the old 12:1 off. Where did this FPR come from?

i have a plx wide band air fuel meter hooked up and i had an o2 boss welded in so i could hook up the fac o2 sensor to the computer like it was from the fac.

How did it run before you did the o2 sensor install and move?

the same figured id try hooking up the stock one and make sure everything was like it was from the factory. the car was turbod when i bought it and a poor job it was

Since you have purchased the car has it ever ran right?

no not really...lol, its been doing better replaced alot of engine parts and wiring. got it down to this problem only. seems like when i first start it up it runs really good for about 10 miles then starts acting up
