Hey, this is my first post on this site, after reading all the topics that I could find regarding Nitrous and 420a I really couldnt get a cut and dry anwser to my question, Its probably in some post somewhere and im sorry if it is, but here is goes.

I have a 98 Eclipse GS. I am getting bored of it and want it to be faster. I have a fair amount of mods, CAI, Full Exhaust etc. I would like to do a 75 shot of nitrous. I am rebuilding the bottom end of my motor so I am sure that I will be able to handle it, But what else do I do, I can not find it anywhere, people keep saying that I will be fine with a stock fuel pump and injectors but Im not sure.

So what else do I need to do to fudge up my motor and make it a slightly reliable car. And also what do I need to do to tune it. Thanks in advanced, you all seem to know what your talking about so I think that you will be able to guide me in the right direction.

If your going to rebuild the motor with forged internals then that a definite good idea and you cant go wrong there. For the fuel pump, i would upgrade the pump to a Walbro 190 just because its cheap insurance. the pumps only cost 110.00 so why not. As for the Nitrous kit, make sure you install a Wet kit and adjust the pills per the HP chart. The stock injectors will not need to be changed.

Yeah nitrous. Just don't spray it all the time!

go for the 255, its the same price. see if you can get ahold of a wideband before you spray so you can tune the shot. and if you build the engine, use more nitrous.

Nitrous will be a very noticing mod*. I would reccomend with the Zex kit. I have experience with it. The solenoids never stuck on me. My engine pistons and rings were intact, just a little dark. Just remember start out slow. 55shot then work your way up. Pay attention to the jet sizes. Can we please have a little more info on your car? Is it a 5spd, auto? As the drivetrain parts are the biggest coeficceint when going with nitrous.

To start, I run a NX 75 shot on my stock bottom end without problems. If you are running a built bottom end, then I would go with a direct port kit and have some fun with it. With a built bottom end and some tuning you could go much higher than 75.

As far as kits are concerned, they are very similar - lines, fittings, solenoids. They all come with what you need. Invest in a few gauges: fuel pressure, EGT, N2O pressure. Keep yourself from melting that engine of yours down.
