After driving my car for awhile after putting the turbo on I have an oil leak...suprise!!! Well I've always known that when you put forced induction and a motor, if any thing at all no matter how small, is wrong with it...the turbo/supercharger will let you know. I'm a firm believer in that statement. Hence I had no oil leak before and now I do. Okay so here what I've done. I've gone over all the oil lines, and thought it was coming from the oil pressure sensor, I disassembled everything from that port and checked all was good. The leak is coming from that side of the motor. I went completely around the head gasket no leak I changed the valve cover gasket twice. and the oil pan gasket twice as well. I took the battery tray and all that fun stuff out and still found no leaks but see oil all over the back of the motor only under the intake manifold and not above...if you have a clue where its coming from and it fixes it I'll give you 10 bucks. otherwise what are all the potential places an oil leak could occur and I will check them 1 by 1. thanks in advance

Oil sender spot. Start the car while it's on jackstands and go underneath it to see where its coming from. I bet it's from there.

Yes, and where your oil lines are hooked up to. They have to be REALLY tight on there or else you WILL get a leak. I know from experience. Start up the car and look. If it leaks, shut down the car, tighten it up more where it's leaking from and repeat.

Will do tomorrow...Any other suggestions? also..its not just a drop here and there...its about a spoon full or more everytime I park.

Sounds about right, let us know what you find out.

I've had the same problem on a few occasions myself. Always ended up being the oil pressure switch/turbo feed line. I can't recall if there is an oil level sensor on the back of our blocks too(might be a knock sensor I'm thinking of).

Yes its a knock sensor.

Well...I turned the car and watched underneath for about 10minutes with the throttle slightly open(around 3000 or less) and the oil sending sensor isnt leaking or the Tee or feed line. That doesnt mean that it wasnt before I took it off and put it back on. but while I was laying there under the car for I felt one warm drop hit my chest and it was coming from the passenger side. I tracked it down to the valve cover again for the third time. apparently When I replaced it the 2nd time in the back corner where the cam gears are I pinched the gasket just slightly. so I fixed that. Now I'm not sure that is the problem since the original leak was from the driver side. I do know its not the oil sending unit anymore. or valve cover gasket. but that doesnt mean its not somewhere else. any other suggestions?

Maybe it was the oil sending unit originally and you fixed that when you took it off and put it back on and then the valve cover was leaking around the gasket. Keep driving it and let us know if it still leaks. Wipe up all the oil off the back of the engine also to prevent false leaks and help pinpoint where some actual ones could be.

Yeah I've completely cleaned the motor all the way around as good as possible...I did that before I checkd the first time and cleaned up before I stopped for the night. I am going to let the gaskets seal until tomorrow or maybe saturday(it might rain tomorrow). and I will drive it then.

finally someone with the same prob I have! Only mine is comming from around the headgasket where oil is fed from the block to the head. I have replaced the head gasket twice. Once dry, and once with Tackspray, still no fix. head has been planed once and that didn't fix it either. I bought a dial indicator and checked the block with a precision swing arm and found that the back corner on the drivers side is about .006" low. NOW, some interesting info I found out talking to a friend of mine that works at a dealership. 2GNT's and Neons are natoroius for this prob! it's called poor factory tooling! Not everybody gets lucky and gets a bad block, the only way to truly fix the prob is to deck the block.

Headgasket leaking oil? sounds like a perfect excuse to rebuild the motor with forged internals to me... consider it done!

That was going to be my next move also...but Somehow my oil leak either fixed itself or I fixed it and somewhere there was still enough oil to drip making me think it was still leaking...I've been driving and checking for a couple days now and no oil leak oil pressure is the same and oil registration is the same. I feel so relieved. Like a great big Fart that you cant release because your new g/f's parents are talking to you in the family room for the first time.

Mine wasn't horrible, just enough to make me hate it. I had to wash down the driveway and add about a quart of oil every 3 weeks or so.

I got over the quart of oil in three weeks cuz I was rebuilding and was already on my second Headgasket. it was much worse before the first one to where I had to check the oil every day cuz I was worried I wouldn't make it to work safely... this is where I was the day it finally gave out the first time, I think I burned about 2 quarts in the 3 mile drive home.
