99927, How do you keep a Real Carbon Fiber shift boot from FRAYING?????
Posted by Domestic Killer, Nov-02-07 02:15 AM
I now that one way is to use hair spray but I would think that it would make it sticky plus If dirt/dust got on it after I used hair spray (you know it will sooner or later) it would trap it on.

Is there any other thing I could use to keep it from fraying and separating???

Thank You For Any Info....

Problems with your "shit boot?" ick.

But seriously, Try clear tile/grout sealant; or you can try shellack.
(Which I can tell you how to make if you don't want to buy it, but you won't save much $$)

But I would just go with a nice leather shift boot.

why the hell would you even want one? if you're that concerned with weight use no boot at all... if it's for looks... well... do something cool like make an aluminum gated panel. pretty badass
